About the Role
Newry and Mourne Community Transport is seeking individuals to join our Board of Directors to help guide and support the organisation in delivering vital transport services to our local community.
As a Board Member, you will play an important role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, ensuring strong governance, and supporting the long-term sustainability of our services. Board Members work collectively to make decisions that help the organisation continue providing accessible, reliable, and community-focused transport.
Community transport plays a crucial role across the Newry and Mourne area. Many people in our community rely on these services to access healthcare, social activities, shopping, education, and other essential services. For older people, individuals with disabilities, and those living in rural areas with limited public transport, community transport helps reduce isolation and ensures people can remain active and connected within their communities.
By joining the Board, you will help ensure that these essential services continue to operate effectively and respond to the needs of local people.
