Important Update to Our Cancellation Policy

At Newry & Mourne Community Transport, our goal has always been simple: to help as many people as possible access the journeys they need.
Recently, however, we’ve seen a significant rise in last-minute cancellations. While we completely understand that unexpected things can happen, short-notice cancellations create real challenges. Every time a booking is cancelled with little notice, it prevents us from offering that seat to someone else who may have been waiting for a trip.
To make sure our service remains fair and accessible for everyone, we are updating our cancellation policy.
Our Updated Cancellation Policy
Individual members:
If a trip is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a £10 cancellation charge per trip will apply.
To ensure fairness for all, any member who cancels three consecutive trips at short notice (less than 24 hours) will have their access to our services suspended.
Group bookings:
If a group repeatedly cancels their bookings, we will apply a £50 charge for each day cancelled, regardless of the amount of notice given.
Why These Changes Are Needed
Every seat on our vehicles is valuable. By reducing last-minute cancellations, we can make better use of our resources, support more people, and keep our services reliable for the whole community.
We ask all our members and groups to please let us know as early as possible if you need to cancel a trip. This small step makes a big difference in helping others who depend on our services.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued support as we work together to keep our community moving. 💙
